(hereinafter referred to as CRRC Changchun).
CRRC Changchun, a core subsidiary of CRRC Group, was founded in 1954. It is a leading enterprise in China's rail transit equipment manufacturing industry and is home to the country's largest R&D base for high-speed trains and urban rail vehicles.
This visit aimed to provide FAW-Volkswagen's foreign expert team with a first-hand look at China's innovation capabilities in the rail transit sector, showcase the development level and achievements of China's intelligent manufacturing, and promote in-depth technical and intercultural exchanges between Chinese and foreign employees. It also sought to facilitate the development of Changchun's high-end manufacturing industry through inter-enterprise exchange and learning.
The event began with brief remarks from Yu Jing, Director of the German Affairs Division of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. She expressed her gratitude for FAW-Volkswagen's long-term active participation in and strong support for the Office's activities, as well as the hope that this exchange would allow the foreign expert team to learn about the latest developments in China's rail transit sector.
Under the guidance of professional staff, the visiting team embarked on an engaging tour. They were impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities in the noise and vibration testing lab and the electromagnetic compatibility lab, while the modern production techniques and assembly processes of high-speed trains frequently captured their attention. These immersive experiences offered them a deep appreciation for CRRC Changchun's spirit of innovation and craftsmanship.
The team subsequently viewed the next-generation EMS high-speed maglev train and the Hungary-Serbia railway EMU developed specifically for the European market. These projects demonstrated China's strong capabilities in independent R&D and international design, leaving a lasting impression on the visitors.
The foreign expert team responded enthusiastically to this visit, offering high praise and positive feedback.
