On July 23, the 2024 Global Changchun Entrepreneurs Convention was held in Changchun. Representatives of Changchun entrepreneurs from home and abroad, along with business partners, gathered to discuss their shared ties to their hometown and development plans for a promising future. Zhang Enhui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, and Li Weidou, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Jilin Provincial Committee and Chairman of Jilin Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the convention and delivered speeches. Mayor Wang Zilian presided over the event.

 

The 2024 Global Changchun Entrepreneurs Convention themed "Gathering the Strength of Global Changchun Entrepreneurs for the Revitalization of Changchun" was attended by more than 300 entrepreneurs, including well-known domestic and international Changchun entrepreneurs, representatives of business associations, and alumni from local universities.

 

In his speech, Zhang Enhui, on behalf of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Changchun Municipal Government, and the 9.1 million people in the city, congratulated the convening of the 1st Changchun Entrepreneurs Convention. He praised Changchun entrepreneurs for their dedication to their hometown and their contributions to the revitalization and development of Changchun, and expressed admiration for the extraordinary achievements made by them in their respective fields and looked forward to them seizing new opportunities in Changchun's development and creating new glories from a new starting point.

 

Zhang Enhui stated that holding the convention marks a specific response to General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on the development of the private economy. It aims to further gather resources, cultivate the culture, and shape the brand of Changchun entrepreneurs, thus bringing more entrepreneurs' power into Changchun's revitalization efforts. Currently, Changchun is in a critical period for taking the lead in achieving breakthroughs in comprehensive revitalization, with clear opportunities, consolidated progress, strong momentum for high-quality development, and an increasingly favorable business environment. With the successful conclusion of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, on which General Secretary Xi Jinping made strategic arrangements for further comprehensive reforms and the advancement of the Chinese path to modernization, Changchun will be committed to emancipating the mind, forging ahead with greater determination, and accelerating the construction of a new modern socialist city with high-quality development, high-quality life, and high-level security. He hoped that Changchun entrepreneurs would base their careers on serving the overall interests and make great efforts in the practice of revitalization and development. He encouraged them to keep forging ahead in an innovative and enterprising spirit and strive for excellence in the market economy. He expected them to uphold honesty and trustworthiness and steadily move forward in law-abiding business. Furthermore, he urged them to take social responsibility as their duty and demonstrate their commitment to serving people's livelihood. Changchun will always consider private enterprises and entrepreneurs as part of its own and make every effort to create a favorable environment for Changchun entrepreneurs to return and develop.

 

In his speech, Li Weidou expressed his hope that entrepreneurs would be grateful to the Party and steadfastly follow its instructions and guidance, so as to become models of patriotism, dedication, lawful operation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social contribution. He encouraged them to leave their marks of struggle in Jilin, spread their hardworking spirit in Jilin, and build their platforms for entrepreneurship in Jilin. He promised that Jilin Federation of Industry and Commerce would continue to support Changchun's development, serve private enterprises in investing and establishing businesses in Changchun, and help write a more brilliant new chapter for the city's achievement of breakthroughs in comprehensive revitalization.

 

Zhang Simin, Chairman of the Global Jilin Entrepreneurs Federation, delivered a speech. Attending representatives of Changchun entrepreneurs, business associations, and alumni associations read the Declaration on Changchun Entrepreneurs' Support for Changchun's High-Quality Development. The event also featured a special investment promotion session for Changchun, interpreting relevant talent attraction policies and launching the "iChangchun" integrated development service platform.
