On November 25, the 2023 China's Regional Innovation Capability Evaluation Report was released, revealing that Jilin climbed six places in the ranking, with the largest increase nationwide. Based on the innovation capability rankings and changes of all regions from 2022 to 2023, 10 regions saw an increase in their rankings and Jilin secured the top spot. The three provinces in Northeastern China displayed upward trends in their rankings, with Jilin and Heilongjiang advancing by six and five places, respectively. Northeast China has shown significant effectiveness in innovation transformation.
