The Conference on World Ice and Snow Economy of Cold Regions (hereinafter referred to as the "Conference"), jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People's Government of Jilin Province, is scheduled to be held in Changchun from November 16 to 18, aiming to vigorously develop the ice and snow economy with high quality, expand cooperation with countries possessing economic advantages of cold regions, achieve win-win cooperation through deepened foundation and enriched content of cooperation, and serve the overall national diplomatic situation.

Adhering to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, earnestly putting in place General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions during his inspection tour of Jilin, particularly his important instructions at the Symposium on Advancing the Comprehensive Revitalization of Northeast China in the New Era and speeches at the Conference on the 70th Anniversary of CCPIT & Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit, and upholding the concept that "ice and snow are also valuable assets", the Conference is grounded in the new development stage, accurately and comprehensively implementing the new development concept, expediting the establishment of a new development pattern, establishing a new platform for high-level dialogue and economic and trade cooperation in world ice and snow economy of cold regions, constructing a new mechanism for cooperation in the field, and further advancing the construction of the "Ice and Snow Silk Road", to facilitate high-quality development in China's ice and snow economy of cold regions.

During the Conference, there will be a series of practical forum events, including the Opening Ceremony & High-level Forum on International Cooperation and Development in the World Ice and Snow Economy of Cold Regions, Central and Local Cooperation Forum, "World Cold Region Ice and Snow Economic Belt" Intelligent Manufacturing Forum, Forum on World Cold Region International Cooperation and Development in Agriculture, World Cold Region Green Energy Development Forum, the 4th Alpine Region New Energy Automobile Industrial Development Forum, World Cold Region Ice and Snow Equipment Matchmaking Meeting, the 10th Anniversary of the "Belt and Road" Initiative: International Ice and Snow Silk Road Economic and Trade Forum, and other high-level forums, as well as related professional supporting activities such as the Exhibition of World Ice and Snow Economy of Cold Regions.

The convening of the Conference on World Ice and Snow Economy of Cold Regions will further promote exchanges and cooperation between China and countries worldwide in the field of ice and snow economy of cold regions, thus fostering prosperity and development in the field.
