News reports say that the CPC Central Committee has appointed Zhang Zhijun as Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee. 

Zhang Zhijun, born in July 1964, once served as Director General of Jilin Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and Secretary of the CPC Baishan Municipal Committee, Deputy Governor of Jilin Province in 2019, and Mayor of Changchun City from 2020.
