Expand International Cooperation and Exchanges, Strengthen Friendship for Win-win Results—Zhang Zhijun Meets Delegations of Consulate Generals of Foreign Countries to Shenyang 

 

 

Zhang Zhijun, Mayor of Changchun City, met with the delegations led by the consul generals of ROK, Germany, Japan, Australia and France to Shenyang on August 13, 2020. The delegations came to attend the 19th Changchun Agriculture Expo. 

At the meeting, Zhang Zhijun, on behalf of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Changchun City, extended his welcome to the delegations and expressed his gratitude to the officials of all countries involved for their support for the socioeconomic development of Changchun City. Mayor Zhang Zhijun also introduced the efforts and achievements made by the city in promoting in a coordinated way the normalization of epidemic prevention and control and the socioeconomic development, saying, “The whole city is now implementing the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection trip to Jilin Province, working on the construction of a modern metropolis area, and promoting in a coordinated way the high quality development of the “four major plates”. With Gongzhuling put under the governance of Changchun City, Changchun has become the third largest with a population of 8.5 million people among the provincial capital cities in China. In the past few days, China (Changchun)-ROK International Cooperation Demonstration Zone was unveiled, and Changchun was selected into the list of ‘Top 10 Beautiful Cities 2019-2020 in China’. The business environment is getting optimized and the service ability improved. It is hoped that your delegations will show more of your care for the city, focus on such fields as modern agriculture, automobile, health, cultural tourism and strategic, emerging industries, focus on the construction of China (Changchun)-ROK International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, National Regional Innovation Center, expand international cooperation and exchanges, promote mutual understanding, strengthen friendship, jointly benefit the people of all countries, and meanwhile help promote the revitalization and development of Changchun City.” 

The delegations indicated that communications would be strengthened while cooperation and exchanges expanded on the basis of existing partnerships with Changchun City in such fields as agriculture, education, economy, trade, culture, health and environmental protection.
