On the occasion of the opening of the 3rd Meeting of the 13th Changchun Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Foreign (Hong Kong, Macau) Affairs Office of Changchun Municipal People’s Government organized a new year’s reception banquet for the representatives of overseas Chinese, personnel from Hong Kong and Macau as well as the representatives of entrepreneurs from Taiwan and the members from Hong Kong and Macau of Changchun Municipal People’s Political and Consultative Conference at the South Lake Hotel to renew friendship and gather consensuses to welcome the arrival of the New Year of 2019. On behalf of the Foreign (Hong Kong, Macau) Affairs Office of Changchun Municipal People’s Government, Director General Qi Guohua extended his festive greetings and sincere wishes to the guests invited to the banquet which was presided over by Deputy Director General Duan Huaxu of the Foreign (Hong Kong, Macau) Affairs Office of Changchun Municipal People’s Government.

In addition, all participants joined the WeChat Group which was established in an effort to serve as a bridge and link for communications between Changchun and the members from Hong Kong and Macau of Changchun Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference and the specially invited representatives of overseas Chinese guests.

2019 witnesses the 70th anniversary for the founding of New China, and also the 20th anniversary for the return of Macau to the motherland. Director General Qi Guohua expressed his sincere hope for the members from Hong Kong and Macau of Changchun Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference and the specially invited representatives of overseas Chinese guests to forge ahead with Changchun, extensively father consensuses, bring into play each other’s advantages, serve to meet the demands of Changchun City, and meanwhile care, support, participate and help facilitate the socioeconomic development of Changchun City, thereby making new, greater contributions to the city’s new round of opening up, high-quality development and construction of a central city in the region of Northeast Asia.
