The Cross-country Skiing Training Camp 2019 for International Students of Changchun Jingyue Lake Vasaloppet International Skiing Festival was opened on December 17, 2018. More than 300 people from 32 countries including Russia, Japan, ROK, Morocco, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Vietnam, Venezuela, Nepal, Myanmar, and Kazakhstan attended the training. The camp is said to last five days and will on December 21, 2018. The coach is Zhang Liwei, a former national team member and track manager of Changchun Nordic Ways Vasaloppet Management Services Co., Ltd.

As an event which has been held successfully for 16 years, China Changchun Jingyue Lake Vasaloppet International Skiing Festival has become very popular in Europe, North America, South America and Australia, the places where Worldloppet members are located. The Changchun Jingyue Lake Vasaloppet International Skiing Festival has launched a cross-country skiing training camp for international friends in line with the theme “One Vasaloppet for All Countries” as an effort to enable foreign nationals to experience the joy of ice and snow and enrich their spare time. This year, many international friends from Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East where ice and snow are rarely seen were invited to enjoy snow sculptures, participate in skiing competitions and experience the charm of ice and snow culture. They are expected to become messengers who will surely bring the passion and joy back to their home countries and share with their fellow citizens, thereby playing a very good role in promoting the ice and snow culture and international influence of Jingyue Lake, Changchun City and Jilin Province in a wider region of the world.
