Timeline
In November 2003, Changchun Mayor Zhu Yejing led a delegation to visit Mora Kommun and held talks with its mayor. The two sides agreed to establish friendship and cooperative relations and conduct long-term cooperation on economy, trade, culture, sports and tourism.
In January 2004, mayor of Mora Kommun led an economy and trade delegation to visit Changchun, attended the Changchun Ice and Snow Festival, and held the Mora Kommun Project Matchmaking Meeting. The mayors of the two sides signed an agreement on the establishment of a full-scale cooperative relationship between the two cities.
In March 2004, An Li, deputy mayor of Changchun, led a delegation to Mora Kommun and participated in the local Vasaloppet Ice and Snow Festival.
In January 2005, Changchun and Mora Kommun formally established a sister city relationship.
[Key Cooperation Areas and Programs]
Since 2006, Changchun Jingyue Development Zone has cooperated with Vasaloppet in Mora Kommun and Nordivic Corporation （诺迪威公司） in Sweden to hold the Vasaloppe Cross-country Skiing Festival every year. It has achieved good social effects and promoted the development of the ice and snow industry in Changchun.
