Jilin Experimental Middle School was founded in 1948 and is among the first batch of key middle schools directly under the Provincial Education Commission. It is among the four major schools, the other three being The High School Attached to Northeast Normal University, The Middle School Attached to Jilin University, and Changchun No. 11 High School.
