During the "longest-ever Spring Festival holiday", the cultural and tourism market saw a comprehensive boom. On February 23, Tongcheng Travel released the 2026 Spring Festival Holiday Tourism Consumption Review Report (hereinafter referred to as the Report), which indicated that during the peak travel period of the holiday, tickets for many renowned scenic spots across the country were in extremely high demand. Ice-and-snow tourism remained robust, with indoor ski resorts emerging as a new bright spot in ice-and-snow cultural and tourism consumption.

Thanks to its intensive development of ice-and-snow resources, Jilin Province experienced a tourism consumption surge during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday. During the holiday, the reservation popularity of scenic spots in Jilin Province surged by over 260% year-on-year, with Changchun recording a nearly 180% increase. The hotel accommodation market also heated up accordingly, with a significant year-on-year rise in hotel reservation popularity across the province. Notably, Changchun saw a nearly 80% growth, underscoring its strong appeal in the cultural and tourism sector.

Ice-and-snow tourism continued to demonstrate its vitality during this holiday. Traveling with the whole family to Northeast China to celebrate the Lunar New Year and immerse in the authentic festive atmosphere of the region has long been a traditional favorite. According to the Report, Changchun City secured a spot on the list of the top 10 popular ice-and-snow tourism destinations for the 2026 Spring Festival holiday. Changchun Ice and Snow New World and Jingyuetan National Scenic Area emerged as popular attractions for ice-and-snow tourism during the holiday. Among them, Changchun Ice and Snow New World, with its diverse ice-and-snow landscapes and interactive experiences, became a popular destination for family trips, leading in reservation popularity growth.

During the Spring Festival holiday, indoor ski resorts became a preferred choice for skiing enthusiasts. The Report showed that several newly opened large-scale indoor ski resorts were bustling with visitors during the holiday. Among them, Changchun Wanda Ski Resort, featuring well-equipped facilities and high-quality services, ranked among the top indoor ski resorts in terms of popularity, further expanding the scope of ice-and-snow cultural and tourism consumption.
