Austrian artist Ingrid Anna Grillmayr donated her paintings to the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office

On the afternoon of November 18, the famous Austrian artist Ingrid Anna Grillmayr and her delegation visited our office and donated the painting “Summer in the South Lake.” Deputy Director of Ou Shuo warmly welcomed Ms. Ingrid Anna Grillmayr and her delegation on behalf of the Foreign Affairs Office, and held a painting donation ceremony for her.

Ms. Ingrid’s career has spanned Europe, North America, India and China, and she enjoys a high level of recognition. She has held several individual exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions, and her work has won many international awards such as the AMENO Art Prize and the k47 Vienna Art Prize. She was an honorary Professor of Art in Pune, Maharashtra, India from 2017 to 2021 and has been living in Changchun since 2022.

The deputy director of Ou Shuo expressed his gratitude to Ms. Ingrid for donating her paintings, and said that he would help her establish contacts with relevant institutions and colleges such as Jilin Provincial Federation of Literature, Northeast Normal University, Jilin University of the Arts, and invite Ms. Ingrid to participate in art-related activities in our city.The deputy director of Ou Shuo said that people-to-people exchanges can promote people-to-people exchanges and promote the development of friendly relations between countries, and we look forward to Ms. Ingrid to build a bridge for the artistic and cultural exchanges between Changchun and Austria, and provide help for the establishment of sister cities in the future.


Ms. Ingrid said that Changchun is a city with a strong artistic atmosphere, civilized harmony, beautiful atmosphere, scientific urban planning and strong execution, especially the "green" of Changchun left a deep impression on her. Ms. Ingrid also said that Changchun is her second home and every day brings her new surprises and experiences. In the future, she looks forward to co-holding exhibitions with young Chinese artists in Europe, promoting Chinese culture and art to go global, and becoming a qualified ambassador of China-Austria cultural exchanges.
