Proposal for Future Key Cooperation Directions
Although a city newly established sister city relationship with Changchun, Warrnambool has helped bring about a blowout friendly exchange results with Changchun. The city's education, culture, sports, and tourism industries are mature, it has demonstrated obvious communication potential with Changchun, and it is very friendly to China. The two cities exchange is becoming more frequent and the exchange pattern have been gradually formed regarding high-level government visits (up to nine high-level delegation groups so far), economy (Cooperation between CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. and Downer EDI Limited, Australia), sports (selected athletes to participate in the Changchun Marathon), science and humanity (delegation exchanges of the two sides’ disease control and prevention centers), and education (the tripartite agreement between Deakin University and universities in Changchun). The series of exchanges and cooperation foresee the great potential for mutual development in the future.
