On June 17, Zhang Enhui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, Wang Zhihou, Director General of the Standing Committee of Changchun Municipal People's Congress, Wang Zilian, Mayor of Changchun, and Gao Zhiguo, Chairman of the CPPCC Changchun Municipal Committee, met with the distinguished guests attending 2025 Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo • Light Conference.

 

Zhang Enhui stated that hosting CCIOE and promoting the high-quality development of the optoelectronic information industry represent a concrete action taken by Changchun to thoroughly implement the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping in his important speeches and the work arrangements of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Government, as well as a major initiative to leverage the city's strengths in science and education, foster new quality productive forces, and accelerate the building of a modern industrial system. Currently, Changchun is planning and formulating its "15th Five-Year" plan and the Changchun Modern Metropolitan Circle Construction Plan. In particular, by targeting the new track of the optoelectronic information industry, the city is drafting a special development plan to drive the deep integration of sci-tech innovation with industrial innovation, aiming to build itself into a major hub of the optoelectronic industry. He expressed the hope that CCIOE would serve as an important platform to deepen exchanges, expand cooperation, and promote the deep integration of industrial, innovation, financial, and talent chains. This will support the optoelectronic information industry in achieving innovative development and transformation upgrading.

 

The attending guests acknowledged Changchun's solid foundation and obvious advantages in the optoelectronic information industry. They pledged to use CCIOE as a bridge to deepen cooperation with local universities, research institutes, and enterprises, and attract more resources, talents, and projects to facilitate the high-quality development of the optoelectronic information industry and new breakthroughs in Changchun's comprehensive revitalization.

 

Attending guests included Cao Jianlin, Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Light and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of CCIOE, Li Deren, recipient of the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, Gu Ying, President of the Chinese Optical Society, and Emiliano Descrovi, President of the European Optical Society, alongside other domestic and international academicians, experts, and representatives from renowned enterprises.
