Delegation of Jilin Chamber of Commerce in Tanzania Visits Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office
On the morning of February 12, Director Xue Chunzhi of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office met with the delegation led by President Yu Qi of the Jilin Chamber of Commerce in Tanzania.
Director Xue welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the recent progress in cooperation between Changchun and African countries, particularly the vigorous development of competitive industries such as automobiles, agriculture, and bio-pharmaceuticals. He highlighted the broad prospects for local cooperation between Changchun and Tanzania, and he hoped that on the strength of its platform and resources, the Chamber of Commerce would continuously explore pragmatic opportunities for cooperation to facilitate exchanges and collaboration between the two cities in various fields.
Mr. Yu Qi provided a comprehensive overview of Tanzania's political environment, economic and trade status, security situation, and unique geographical and cultural features, as well as the achievements of cooperation between China and Tanzania in recent years. Additionally, he offered constructive suggestions on potential areas for cooperation between Changchun and Tanzania and the direction of future interactions. Mr. Yu expressed his hope for deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, automobiles, industry, and manufacturing between the local governments of Tanzania and Changchun.
The meeting was accompanied by officials from the Division of American and Oceanian Affairs.
