Striving for a Strong Start in the First Quarter

 

On February 3, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, coinciding with the Beginning of Spring, Zhang Enhui, Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, and Wang Zilian, Mayor of Changchun, inspected key enterprises, major projects, and scenic attractions, focusing on ongoing winter construction projects and the holiday cultural tourism market. They emphasized the need to implement the Central Economic Work Conference's directives and the work plans of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Jilin Provincial Government, while urging all sectors to strive for a strong start in the first quarter by seizing every moment, prioritizing action, and making every effort to boost the economy, advance projects, promote consumption, and ensure safety.

 

Vitesco Automotive (Changchun) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Schaeffler Group, maintained operations during the Spring Festival to fulfill its orders. Currently, nearly 800 employees are on duty, with nearly 90% of orders coming from outside the province. Zhang Enhui and Wang Zilian visited the production workshop to gain on-site understanding of the enterprise's operations, technological innovation, market expansion, etc. They encouraged the enterprise to adapt to changing market demands and focus on breakthroughs in the new energy vehicle sector to continuously enhance core competitiveness and pursue greater development.

 

The Jirun Hospital, with a total investment of RMB 4.5 billion, is a cooperation project between Wonder Group and the First Hospital of Jilin University. Its construction continued through the Spring Festival, with interior finishing work in full swing. It is scheduled to go into operation in July this year. Zhang Enhui and Wang Zilian visited the construction site to assess progress. They instructed all relevant parties to enhance coordination and work together, while ensuring timely equipment installation, staff deployment, and surrounding environment development to accelerate the completion of the key public welfare project for early benefits. They emphasized the importance of prioritizing projects, strengthening accountability, and swiftly transforming planned key projects into effective investment to lay a solid foundation for achieving annual goals.

 

During the Spring Festival, tourist attractions saw a surge in visitors. The "Changbai Tiangong" New Year Ice and Snow Lantern Festival at Changchun Movie Wonderland combined Zigong's intangible cultural heritage lantern art with Jilin's ice and snow culture, attracting numerous domestic and international tourists. Meanwhile, the Lotus Island Film and Television Leisure Culture Park gained popularity with its Northeast-style yangko performances and live-action shows, earning two feature reports on CCTV during the holiday.

 

During their visits to these tourist attractions, Zhang Enhui and Wang Zilian praised enterprises for their well-planned and diverse cultural tourism offerings. They encouraged them to remain market-oriented, benchmark against top-tier domestic and international enterprises, and provide more experiential, immersive, and interactive cultural tourism projects. They also called for a unified approach to cultural tourism development across the city, enhancing joint promotional efforts among scenic spots, extending the consumption chain, and boosting both visitor numbers and overall city vitality.

During the inspection, Zhang Enhui and Wang Zilian stressed that with the Spring Festival holiday coming to an end, all departments should refocus and work diligently.
