The first Northeast China Book Expo will simultaneously showcase and sell approximately 400,000 book products both online and offline, many of which are rarely seen in regular bookstores. The excellent periodical exhibition area will display rare first editions of some domestic journals, while the import-export book exhibition area will offer more than 2,000 high-quality import-export publications. Other major exhibition areas will provide a wide variety of outstanding publications such as literature, social science, supplementary books, and children's books, as well as related digital publications.

Based on the publishing positioning of exhibitors and the characteristics of the exhibits, 12 featured exhibition areas are planned and designed, including themed publishing, guests of honor, educational themes, excellent periodicals, import-export books, Jilin's books, city publishers consortium, folk literature publishing, digital and intelligent animation experience, intangible cultural heritage, national publishing and distribution, and library allocation. The design of the exhibition halls adheres to the principles of thrift while highlighting distinctive features, with a prominent theme, innovative design, high recognition, and rich cultural deposits. This reflects an organizing approach that prioritizes reader-centric services while showcasing the creative capacity of cultural enterprises and the achievements of the publishing industry.

The first Northeast China Book Expo serves as a grand cultural event held right at the doorstep of readers in Jilin, especially in Changchun, and will offer tangible benefits to attendees. The policies designed to benefit the people primarily reflect in the form of "one exemption and three preferential treatments". Firstly, admission is free. Secondly, all books on sale at the expo are offered at a 15% discount. Thirdly, a certain amount of electronic book vouchers will be distributed on the scene, with some given to university students in Changchun and others directly to book expo attendees. The specific methods of obtaining these vouchers will be announced through the media one week before the book expo. Fourthly, exhibitors will also offer various promotional activities such as complimentary gifts for purchase, discounts based on purchase thresholds, lucky draws, and blind box draws, to provide readers with a genuine sense of satisfaction and happiness.
