The workers have been working hard on the construction site of the Northeast Asia International Expo Center in Yongchun Township of Chaoyang District to ensure that the project can be pushed forward as scheduled. 

The project covers a total land area of 2.5 million square meters on which RMB10 billion will be invested. On the east side of the project is the south extension of Renmin Street, five kilometers away from the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Changchun City. The project integrates such functions as international exhibition, international convention, hotel business, headquarters office, shopping, entertainment, sports and leisure based on which a new highland of exhibition industry will be created in Northeast Asia. 

In addition to the elements of Northeast Asia’s five countries, the project features “exhibition plus business, leisure, culture and residential friendliness”. After the Northeast Asia International Expo Center goes operational, the annual exhibition area will be about 1.7 million square meters, a total of about 5.1 million of new passengers will be added, some 10,000 jobs will be created, the number of people who will get employed temporarily will be 200,000 times and the direct income to be brought about for the industry will reach approximately RMB1.7 billion.
