Recently, the ground-breaking ceremony of the key project of Changchun International Automobile City—Herun Automobile Industrial Park was held in the Changchun Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone. The project is located at the intersection of Tengfei Road and Qiancheng Road in the Changchun Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 175,000 square meters with the floor area of 140,000 square meters. It is expected to build 26 workshops and supporting buildings for the manufacturing of auto parts and accessories, with a total planned investment of 1.5 billion yuan.

According to the principle that Changchun International Automobile City takes Dongfeng Street extension as the central axis to form the development pattern of "one axis and two wings" and the south wing plans to build the vehicle, refitted vehicle and auto parts manufacturing industry as well as characteristic auto parts processing parks, the Herun Automobile Industrial Park project, located in the central region of the south wing of the automobile economic and technological development zone, is divided into three major functional areas—standardized single-layer workshop area, multi-layer workshop area and comprehensive supporting area. The project is to build workshops, office buildings, scientific research and technology centers, incubation bases and staff apartments to meet the needs of primary and secondary supporting enterprises of main engine plants, small and medium-sized enterprises and incubators. It is expected to put into operation in 2021. After the completion of the project, more than 50 enterprises will settle in the park, creating more than 3,000 jobs and further improving the economic development scale and quality of Changchun International Automobile City.
