Qingyifang International Flower and Horticulture Exhibition & Sino-French Culture Month Event Officially Kicks Off

On the afternoon of July 19, the opening ceremony of the Qingyifang International Flower and Horticulture Exhibition & Sino-French Culture Month took place at Qingyifang Yunlang. The opening ceremony was attended by Zhao Xian, Deputy Mayor of Changchun, Emmanuel Loriot, French Consul General in Shenyang, Zheng Gang, Director of Jilin Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Huang Lihua, Deputy Director of Jilin Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Xue Chunzhi, Director of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, as well as key leaders from the Changchun Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and Jingyue District.
 
In his speech, Zhao Xian pointed out that 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, and it is also the China-France Year of Tourism and Culture. This event, as a response to the call of the heads of the two states, promotes exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism between China and France, fosters the building of a local cultural tourism brand, stimulates the immense potential of the cultural tourism industry, and drives the high-quality development of Changchun's cultural tourism sector.
After the opening ceremony, the attending leaders visited the Qingyifang Garden and the 777 Yunlang Art Center Ikebana Exhibition, where they had in-depth exchanges on the cooperation on the Sino-French art culture and cultural tourism project.
 
The event, hosted by Qingyifang Group, with more than 30 internationally renowned artists, horticulturists, and florists invited to participate, focuses on embodying the essence of Sino-French culture and art and enriching the cultural life of citizens. It will last until August 20, during which a series of cultural and artistic activities will be held, including Sino-French Image Exchange Exhibition, Sino-French Excellent Film Exhibition, Sino-French Food Culture Festival, and Horticulture Master Classes.
 
Ou Shuo, Deputy Director of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, attended the event, accompanied by officials from the European and African Affairs Division.
