The documentary Aventure Sur La Neige ("Powder Snow Adventure"), a co-production between China and France, premiered at the Changying Cinema in Changchun on Nov 29. The film is the first large-scale documentary co-produced by Jilin Province and a foreign mainstream media, and manifests the Olympic spirit and a gift to the upcoming Winter Olympics, allowing the audience to experience the beauty of humanity while embracing the wonders of ice and snow.

Under the guidance of the External Promotion Bureau of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and Information Office of Jilin Provincial Government, the documentary Aventure Sur La Neige was jointly produced by Jilin Internet Media Co., Ltd., China Intercontinental Communication Center and FranceMontBlanc8. The film revolves around the concept of "beauty," adopts the angles of Chinese and French skiing experts as they travel to winter sport heavens in each other's countries, namely Savoie Department of France and Jilin Province of China, as they connect with and challenge each other via mobile phones. They explore the unique charms of "powder snow at the same latitude" on Changbai Mountain and the Alps to showcase the beauty of harmony between human and nature.

At the premiere event, guests and audiences also sent messages after watching the first episode of Aventure Sur La Neige, with the hope that the film can take advantage of the Beijing Winter Olympics to send greetings of snow and ice from China and France to the rest of the world. With stunning images and touching stories, the film gains wide influence and preserves precious memories. It took three years to produce Aventure Sur La Neige, and the process was particularly difficult. The creative team took innovation measures and persisted with filming under harsh conditions, hoping to usher the audience into a unique, immersive experience of ice and snow culture through frames of beautiful sceneries, and to reflect the progress that China and France have jointly achieved in cultural exchanges and mutual learning. The documentary also vividly explains the profound meaning of building a "community of common destiny for mankind."

Aventure Sur La Neige will soon be released to major media in China and broadcast in France, so as to inspire viewers with the wonders of ice and snow while preparing the world for the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
