The annual ice and snow season has arrived. To enhance in an all-round way the influence of the ice and snow brand festival and its function of driving the development of local economy, Changchun City will prepare and promote in line with a high standard the work for the 25th Changchun Ice and Snow Festival. 

The 25th Changchun Ice and Snow Festival starts on the 100-day countdown to the Winter Olympics, lasting for 120 days from October 27 this year to February 23, 2022. The organizing committee says priority will be given to following the development strategy of the ice and snow industry of Jilin Province, focusing on building “Changchun International Top-notch Ice and Snow Service Center”, expanding to the greatest extent the effect of “Winter Olympics in Beijing, Experience in Jilin Province and Have Fun in Changchun City”, taking “Winter Olympics-Have Fun in Ice and Snow Games in Changchun” as the theme to extend the industry chain of ice and snow economy, and focusing on seven aspects of venues, experience, events, culture, consumption, research and travel routes to guide and expand ice and snow consumption, and improve the development quality of ice and snow economy.  

Insiders say all involved in the preparation are working as smoothly as expected, with major breakthroughs and progress made in venue construction, activity organization and product development. 

As an important festive event, Changchun Ice and Snow Festival has been held for 24 times in a row. After years of development, it has formed an ice and snow-based product package covering “food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment”, thereby becoming an important platform and carrier to tell the ice and snow stories, send ice and snow tourism invitations and support the ice and snow economy of Changchun City.
