Overseas Study Tours Foster Lasting Friendships and Draw a Blueprint for Civil Cooperation
At the invitation of Mr. Zhu Jiaxi, head of the Changchun Liaison Office in Mexico, Professor Cristina Hernandez Alvarez from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) in Mexico led a group of 14 international business students on a 20-day study tour for cultural experiences at Changchun Foreign Language School (CFLS).
On December 2, the Welcome Ceremony for the UABC Study Tour Group was held at CFLS. At the ceremony, speeches were delivered by Wang Hao, Principal of CFLS, Yang Xiaoping, Deputy Director of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and Professor Cristina.
CFLS is the only foreign language school in Northeast China authorized to recommend students for direct admission to universities. Since its founding, the school has been dedicated to cultivating interdisciplinary talents with global perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills. It currently offers courses in English, Japanese, Russian, German, Spanish, and French. The visit by the Mexican study tour group not only affirms the school's commitment to international education but also paves the way for deeper global exchanges and collaboration in the future.
Tijuana, Mexico, has been a sister city of Changchun since 2009. Over the years, the two cities have forged close ties through frequent mutual visits by leaders from both cities and active exchanges of business and sports delegations, injecting strong impetus into the prosperity and development of both sides.
Following the speeches, CFLS's students performed dances Peach Blossom and Reunion and Joy, as well as a Spanish chorus Under the Same Sun.
The welcome ceremony was attended by Chen Mei, Director General Level Officer (Grade II) from the Education Department of Jilin Province, Yang Xiaoping, Wang Hao, and He Yingjie, Secretary of the Party Committee of CFLS.
