Chairman Zhuang Yan of Changchun Film Group Leads a Delegation to the 46th Moscow International Film Festival

On April 19, local time, the 46th Moscow International Film Festival & the 2024 BRICS Film Festival kicked off in Moscow, Russia. Several Chinese films were showcased during the event. Zhuang Yan, Chairman of Changchun Film Group, led the Chinese delegation and attended the opening ceremony and related activities during the festival.
 
"The BRICS Film Festival is a cultural exchange event held under the BRICS cooperation mechanism," said Zhuang Yan in an interview. At this year's BRICS Film Festival, China submitted the film One and Only for competition, and Love Never Ends and Never Say Never for exhibition, aiming to foster cultural exchanges and mutual learning among BRICS countries and other countries, especially in the field of film culture.
 
On April 20, local time, Zhuang Yan was present at a roundtable forum at the BRICS Film Festival and discussed topics such as the Chinese government's support for the film industry and the state of China's film distribution market with filmmakers from BRICS countries. Additionally, he introduced the Changchun Film Studio, known as the "Cradle of New China's Film", and shared the current film creation and production landscape at Changchun Film Group.
 
The festival has attracted over 200 films from more than 50 countries. Under the BRICS Film Festival framework, dozens of films from countries including Russia, China, Brazil, India, South Africa, and Egypt will compete and be showcased. Rao Shuguang, President of the China Film Critics Association, serves as a Chinese judge for this event.
 
The Moscow International Film Festival, established in 1935, is one of the longest-running film festivals. It began to be held regularly in 1959 and occurred biennially until 1999 when it became an annual event. FIAPF rated it as a Class A international film festival in 1972. The 46th Moscow International Film Festival will continue until April 26.
