The seventh generation truck parade was held in Changchun on the 26th to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the birth of the New China's automotive industry. The convoy, ranging from Jiefang CA10 trucks with green paint, the first-generation truck in New China, to the white Jiefang CA141 trucks and the latest Jiefang J7 heavy-duty trucks in silver paint, seemed to travel through time.

Changchun is known as the "City of Automobiles" of China. On July 15, 1953, the groundbreaking ceremony of the First Automobile Manufacturing Plant took place in Changchun, marking the first step towards the development of New China's automotive industry. On July 13, 1956, the first domestically produced Jiefang truck rolled off the assembly line, putting an end to the history of China's inability to manufacture automobiles.

Chen Guogang, who runs an automotive service business, is a collector of the first, second, third, and fifth generations of Jiefang trucks. On the day of the parade, he proudly drove his collection, the Jiefang CA10 truck, among the convoy. Chen Guogang said he has witnessed the advancements and upgrades of the seven generations of Jiefang trucks and the strikingly rapid development in China's automotive industry.

Currently, Changchun is redoubling its efforts to speed up the construction of an international automobile city with China FAW Group taking in lead, aiming to build a world-class automotive industry base with an output value exceeding RMB one trillion.

The FAW Jiefang J7 Intelligent Factory, which has been put into production for over a year, is now working hard to fulfill export orders. According to relevant reports, this factory has a designed production capacity of 50,000 vehicles per year. Leveraging industrial internet, big data, and advanced technologies such as Robot-AGV collaboration, fully intelligent automation tire assembly, and vehicle intelligent online calibration, it has created a new model characterized by personalized customization and networked collaboration in intelligent manufacturing.

In recent years, China FAW Group has been intensifying efforts to tap overseas markets. From January to May this year, FAW Import & Export Corporation has exported 28,200 vehicles, an increase of 153 percent year-on-year, among which, a total of 4,071 Hongqi brand vehicles were exported, up 216 percent year-on-year; 14,013 Jiefang brand vehicles were exported, up 92 percent year-on-year, showing an overall good trend of advancing the simultaneous development of commercial and passenger vehicles and accelerating breakthroughs.
