On June 13, Jing Junhai, Party chief of Jilin province, visited Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the work plan of the Party Central Committee for conducting investigations and research, to deeply understand the situation and to solve problems. Jing stressed the necessity to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions during his visits to Jilin, free our minds, stay committed to openness and inclusiveness, enhance advantages in the deep integration of domestic and international circulations, and promote high-quality development by high-level opening-up.

Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone has set up a number of industrial platforms for cross-border e-commerce comprehensive services, cold chain logistics and processing of foreign characteristic resources, attracting hundreds of enterprises and projects such as Sinotrans and Shunfeng Fengtai E-commerce Industrial Park. After learning about the future development planning and infrastructure construction of the bonded zone, Jing called for efforts to seize the opportunities of building a unified national market, keep improving services, create a market-oriented, law-based and internationalized business environment, attract more enterprises to settle down, and further expand the development scale to a new level. In Changchun Xinyun Warehousing Company, Jing inspected the operation of the company, and encouraged it to further free minds, strengthen cooperation with key enterprises, expand its own logistics and distribution networks, keep enhancing the efficiency of warehousing and logistics, and cultivate more competitive advantages.

While visiting Changchun Customs Network-connected Image Inspection Center of Xinglong Railway Port, Jing fully affirmed that the image inspection function has covered 10 ports in the province, and said that hopefully, Changchun Customs will continue standardized supervision, further facilitate customs clearance, and create favorable conditions for the province to expand trade in goods. Jing learned about the operation of Changchun International Inland Port and the China-Europe Railway Express, and observed the export loading process of FAW vehicles on the spot. He noted that it is necessary to make good use of the overseas freight routes for domestically traded goods and the China-Europe Railway Express, speed up the building of logistics hubs, strive for more logistics resources for local businesses, and help them reduce costs and improve efficiency. Efforts should be made to ensure the export capacity of FAW products, support FAW in exploiting overseas markets, and build the Hongqi brand, he added.

Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone's Import and Export Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center is the largest foreign trade commodity distribution center in the province. Jing inspected the operation of foreign trade enterprises, and urged relevant departments to focus on changes in the international trade situation, make policies more targeted and effective, keep developing and perfecting service models, and better benefit foreign trade enterprises in the province.

During the inspection, Jing stressed that Changchun city and relevant departments directly under the provincial government should fully implement the "one pillar, six doubles" high-quality development strategy, give full play to the role of Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone as a special functional platform, continue to improve the level of opening-up and cooperation, and make greater breakthroughs in industrial development and project implementation. Efforts should be made to promote innovation in institutions and policies, attract high-quality resources and projects, develop the processing trade, expand auto exports, and enhance the competitiveness of advantageous industries and specialty products in foreign trade. Efforts should be made to seize the major opportunities brought by the "Northeast—Far East" regional cooperation between China and Russia, deepen the "five co-operations", attract more targeted and effective investment, further raise the level of port construction, smooth major opening-up channels, keep trade stable, tap potential, and better gather popularity, serve development and promote revitalization.
