Zhang Zhijun Meets BASF’ Global Vice President

Zhang Zhijun, Mayor of Changchun City, met the delegation led by Vice President of BASF on July 28, 2020. The two sides discussed the possibility of joining hands to deepen cooperation and project construction. 


BASF is one of the Global 500 and a first-class agent of FAW Group. 


During the meeting, Zhang Zhijun, on behalf of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Changchun City, extended his welcome to the delegation and introduced the work in promoting in an all-round way the normalization of epidemic prevention and control and the achievement Changchun had made in socioeconomic development, saying, “Several pieces of good news have arrived one after another. From July 22 to 24, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Jilin Province. The whole city is now implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on such aspects real economy, development of FAW, agricultural modernization, protection and improvement of people’s wellbeing. With Gongzhuling under the governance of Changchun City and China (Changchun)-ROK International Cooperation Demonstration Zone going operational, Changchun has become the third largest city with a population of 8.5 million people among the capital cities in China. The city’s development space has been expanded and the development momentum further enhanced. It is hoped that BASF will take Changchun as the center of regional layout in Northeast China to further expand the space for cooperation between the two sides. All involved in this city will continue to optimize business environment, provide first-class service and spare no effort to support the development of enterprises.” 


“This trip has reinforced our confidence in expanding cooperation with your city. Hopefully, our cooperation can be deepened for win-win results,” said the head of the delegation after introducing the cooperation between BASF and FAW Group and indicating that more technologies and products would be taken to Changchun City.
