The Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the ranking of air quality of 168 key cities in China in August according to which Changchun ranked the 4th, the best record, after its counterparts such as Haikou, Lhasa, etc.  

The monitoring data released by China National Environmental Monitoring Center show that the number of effective automatic monitoring days in August of Changchun City was 31 of which 27 days were excellent, 4 days were good, and the excellent and good rate was 100%. 

The official of air pollution prevention and control said that the air quality in Changchun City turned out to be excellent in August, reaching the standard of a natural scenic area with a score of 27 days whose the comprehensive air quality indexes were less than 50.
