IV. Project Profile and Construction Content

The project is planned to get situated inside the Beihu Sci-Tech Industry Development Zone of Changchun New Area, with a land area of 200,000 square meters and two phases of construction, that is, the first phase totaling 100,000 square meters on which RMB700 million will be invested for lithium-ion power battery, mortar and electrode workshop, winding workshop, assembly workshop, combination workshop, warehouse, power support, purchase of battery production line and testing equipment, etc. and the second phase with an area of 100,000 square meters on which RMB500 million will be invested for the construction of motors, power assembly system, research and design institute, with supporting and meeting electric vehicles as its main application field. The project is expected to have an annual revenue of RMB800 million and an annual profit of RMB260 million. The investment payback period is 6.6 years (after tax, 2 years of construction included), and the investment profit margin is expected to reach 21.7%.

V. Analysis of Market Prospect

The new energy vehicle (NEV), which bears the hope of “overtaking in short cut” for China’s automobile industry, is developing rapidly with the great support and promotion of policies. As the most important part of new energy vehicles, batteries are in great demand. With NEV becoming the strategic direction of the global automobile industry, battery has become one of the core components that determine the performance, quality, technical level and cost of electric vehicle products, thereby having made mastering such key technology an important choice for vehicle enterprises. On the basis of the solid research and development, manufacturing foundation and location advantages of new energy vehicles in Changchun New Area, the project engaged in battery is bound to have a broad market prospect.
