On November 21, the results of the 2025 academician election for the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering were officially announced. A total of 144 individuals were elected, further optimizing the age structure, disciplines, regional distribution, and industry coverage of the academician team.

Jia Ping from the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Wang Lichun from the Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Northeast Innovation Center for Agricultural Science and Technology of China) was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.\
