FAW-Volkswagen Wins New Energy Vehicle Industry Award Again
Recently, at the Automotive New Quality and Productivity Development Forum, jointly hosted by Xinhua News Agency, the China Economic Information Society, and China Inspection and Quarantine, FAW-Volkswagen was awarded the top prize in the first National New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Safety Early Warning Algorithm Competition. The award recognized its excellent algorithm system and computing capabilities, highlighting its leading position in the field of power battery safety early warning technology.
Power battery safety warning involves monitoring vehicle data and using artificial intelligence to provide early safety warnings for potential vehicle faults before any danger occurs. The National New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Safety Early Warning Algorithm Competition is organized by the Technology Innovation Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation. As the first authoritative competition in the new energy vehicle industry, it lasted for over three months and attracted participation from 37 enterprises, universities, and research institutions. The competition was based on the group standard "Evaluation Method for Electric Vehicle Battery System Safety Early Warning Model" and evaluated participants on multiple dimensions such as algorithm precision, recall, and F1 score across five single fault modes.
FAW-Volkswagen's achievement in winning first prize is due to its independent research and development over the years. According to Ni Jing, Manager of the New Energy Battery Development Department at FAW-Volkswagen, since 2022, the company has been implementing the i-DATA project, which extensively expands data application scenarios and data products. The battery safety warning algorithm is a key component of this project and has been leading the charge. To address the safety challenges of new energy power batteries, FAW-Volkswagen maintains a strong focus on quality, deeply integrating big data and artificial intelligence technologies, and continuously improving its battery safety warning system. The company has developed a comprehensive big data value chain that includes data collection, storage, processing, analysis, and service. Through the independent development of technology, tools, and platforms, FAW-Volkswagen has built a complete set of online battery safety protection solutions. These solutions cover a wide range of fault types, provide accurate algorithm predictions, enable quick fault handling, and are resilient in the market. This not only offers robust technical support for battery safety but also contributes valuable expertise to the healthy development of the new energy vehicle industry.
