China's 9,000,000th Jiefang Truck Rolls Off the Production Line
On July 16, a high-end Jiefang J7 Chuangling heavy truck slowly rolled off the production line in Changchun, Jilin, marking the official launch of the 9,000,000th Jiefang truck independently developed by China while bringing the total vehicle output of FAW Group (known as the "cradle of the automobile industry in China") to 60 million.
During the event celebrating the rollout of FAW Group's 60,000,000th vehicle & 9,000,000th Jiefang truck, FAW Jiefang also unveiled its "J7 Chuangling Technology Platform" which took three years to develop. The platform, tailored for the soon-to-be-launched Jiefang J7 Chuangling heavy truck, will serve high-efficiency trunk logistics transport scenarios. It boasts breakthroughs in 16 core technologies, comes standard with an L2-level intelligent driving system, and has been validated in real-world user scenarios with a total mileage of 20 million kilometers.
From 1 to 9,000,000, the seven generations of Jiefang trucks have witnessed the evolution of China's automobile industry from nonexistence and weakness to strength. According to statistics, from January to June this year, FAW Jiefang's total vehicle output reached 143,300, a year-on-year increase of 4.11%, and its vehicle sales volume totaled 151,800, a year-on-year increase of 15.4%.
On July 13, 1956, the first domestically produced Jiefang vehicle in China rolled off the assembly line, ending the history of China's inability to manufacture automobiles. Since its inception, Jiefang has been committed to independent innovation and has earned numerous honors such as the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
