FAW Hongqi with its Production and Sales Exceeding 200,000 Vehicles from January to September, and Seven New Models Launched

According to the data provided by FAW, from January to September this year, the output of FAW Hongqi reached 206,000, with a year-on-year growth of 3.3%; the sales volume was 211,000, with a year-on-year growth of 5.1%.

FAW Hongqi has made significant headway by continuous promotion for technological innovation, accelerating the launch of new models to occupy market segments. From March to September this year, at least 7 new models of Hongqi brand were launched: in March, the first pure electric B-class car E-QM5 of Hongqi was launched; in April, Hongqi LS7, the first full-size SUV of Hongqi, was launched; in May, the first high-end customized model H9+ of Hongqi was launched; in July, the first B+ class smart luxury car of Hongqi, the brand new Hongqi H5, was launched, with 227 patents; in August, Hongqi E-QM5 PLUS, a luxury pure electric car, was put into market; in September, HQ9, the first MPV model of Hongqi, was launched.

In the overseas market, after being put into the Saudi Arabia market last year, with its products exported to Norway and Denmark, and entered the Japanese market, Hongqi achieved the goal of selling its flagship new energy model E-HS9 to Israel in April this year, constantly highlighting the Chinese automobile brand in the world.

According to analysis report of Top 500 Chinese Most Valuable Brands in 2022 released by the World Brand Lab, the value of Hongqi brand in 2022 was RMB 103.608 billion, ranking first in the passenger car industry, and becoming the first passenger car brand with brand value exceeding RMB 100 billion in China.
