In September, FAW produced 375,519 cars, up 38.9% year on year, and sold 388,896s, a year-on-year increase of 18.2%. 

Among the total number of cars produced and sold this year, Hongqi contributed 24,780, up 132.4% year on year, and 21,518, up 85.9% year on year; Jiefang contributed more than 46,000, with a year-on-year growth of more than 70%, and more than 43,000, up more than 60% year on year; and Bestune contributed 1,786 and 5,624, respectively.  

The number of vehicles made and sold by joint ventures and cooperative partners reached 294,598, up 39.7% year on year, and 309,245, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%, respectively. Among them, FAW-VW produced 210,293, up 30.9% year on year, and sold 224,411, up 3.9% year on year; FAW Toyota produced 84,305, up 68% year on year, and sold 84,834, up 62.6% year on year and; and FAW Mazda produced 6,729 and sold 7,057 respectively. 

In the background of market recession, Hongqi has secured growth, and its sales hit a record high in September. From January to September this year, 130,091 Hongqi cars were sold, up 104.4% year on year, setting a record of “Speed of Hongqi” as a national brand for the automobile industry of China.
