Hazel mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus. As one of Northeast China’s Unique Treasures, hazel mushroom contains a variety of essential amino acids and vitamins. It has been listed as a first-class dish in some developed countries. Small hazel mushroom is light brown in color, but changes to dark brown while growing big. Usually, hazel mushroom is typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source in July or August every year.
