The Changchun Jingyuetan National Forest Park is located in the southeastern part of Changchun, Jilin Province. It covers an area of over 100 square kilometers. Inside the park there are picturesque sceneries of clear lakes, luxuriant forests and majestic mountain ridges. The ecological picture of the Asia’s largest man-made forest in harmony with sceneries of mountain, water and forest constitutes a scroll of beautiful four-season sceneries of Jingyue Lake.

The scenic area is situated in a transitional terrain from Changbai Mountain to West Grassland. There are 119 low mountains, stretching and undulating into a valley, with a lake shaping like a moon inside of it.

There are 99 scenic spots in such sections as sightseeing, holiday spending, commercial service and ecological protection. A field for forest bath lies deep in the forest. The content of negative ion of oxygen there is 400 times more than that in downtown, due to which tens of millions of visitors are attracted to the natural “Oxygen Salon” every year.

Different sceneries of four seasons can be found everywhere in Jingyue Lake Scenic Area. In spring, grasses and trees fresh green; in summer, lake undulating in response to white clouds and gentle breeze; in autumn, forest beautifully dyed, mountains and waters enjoyable; and in winter, a fantastic world of ice and snow. It has become an ideal place in which you can go for an outing in spring, enjoy coolness in summer, appreciate mountain colors in autumn and have fun in snow in winter.

In 1998, Jingyue Lake was listed as a key national scenic area. In 1989, it was approved as a national forest park. In 2000, it became a Four-A scenic area, and in 2009 it won the title “National Civilized Scenic Area”.
