Jilin Tops the National List of Entries in the First Three Batches, Securing Another Spot in the Third Batch of National Ski Resorts!

On January 23, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, along with the General Administration of Sport of China, unveiled the list of the third batch of national ski resorts, among which the Changbai Mountain Ski Resort in Chibei Area stands out.


Before then, the province had already claimed four spots in the confirmed list of national ski resorts, that is, Fengman Songhua Lake Ski Resort in Jilin City, Fusong Changbai Mountain Ski Resort in Baishan City, Yongji Beida Lake Ski Resort in Jilin City, and Dongchang Wanfeng Ski Resort in Tonghua City.


As of now, a total of 26 national ski resorts have been singled out in the first three batches, and the province holds five of them, securing the top position nationwide!

The Changbai Mountain Heping Ski Resort, located in Antu County at the foot of Changbai Mountain, is well-suited for a wide range of skiing enthusiasts, as it holds both beginner and intermediate ski slopes. Having undergone comprehensive upgrades in both software and hardware, the resort is able to accommodate over 1,000 skiers in a single day. Additionally, catering to professional skiing enthusiasts, the resort has developed the Tiger Ridge Terrain Park, which serves as a multifaceted experience hub for national team training, competitions, and professional skiing enthusiasts. It stands as the largest skiing terrain park in Asia, equipped to stage international events like the FIS A-level World Cup and World Championships. The park features training facilities for various disciplines, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced slope obstacles, large jump ramps, halfpipes, aerials, and parallel giant slalom. It is an annual training ground for China's national team and professional athletes from various provinces and cities, contributing to the cultivation of Olympic champions like China's Su Yiming and New Zealand's Zoi Sadowski-Synnott. It is, therefore, hailed as the cradle for world champions, and is set to host the 2024 Asian Cup.
The Changbai Mountain Hongsongwang Ski Resort, situated at the foot of Changbai Mountain, is the closest ski resort to the Changbai Mountain Scenic Area - only 1.5 kilometers away from its northern entrance - and the most suitable skiing destination for the general public. Featuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced ski slopes with moderate difficulty, the resort allows skiing coaches to guide beginners systematically, enabling them to learn skiing in 2 to 3 hours. It is particularly suitable for novice and intermediate skiing enthusiasts to experience the joy of skiing!

Fengman Songhua Lake Ski Resort in Jilin City

 


Located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, the core area spans 20.2 square kilometers, with a total skiing area of 175 hectares. The vertical drop of the core area's slopes is 605 meters, with a daily maximum capacity of 10,000 visitors.
The resort boasts a well-balanced classification of ski slopes, including the 5.21-kilometer-long "Romantic Avenue" - an ultra-long ski slope for beginners, the 7-kilometer-long ALL-BLACK Zone, and the top-notch V-Park Terrain Park. Songhua Lake offers a full set of amenities within the resort, featuring various business formats such as hotels, apartments, and a commercial town.

Yongji Beida Lake Ski Resort in Jilin City


Located in Yongji County, Jilin City, Jilin Province, the core area covers 50 square kilometers, boasting a total skiing area of 239 hectares. The vertical drop of the core area's slopes is an impressive 870 meters, with a daily maximum capacity of 30,000 visitors.

Positioned in Tonghua City, Jilin Province, the core area spans 21.5 square kilometers, with a total skiing area of 117 hectares. The vertical drop of the core area's slopes is 560 meters, with a daily maximum capacity of 20,000 visitors.


The resort features 33 ski slopes, totaling approximately 31 kilometers. It is home to alpine trails that are relatively long at home, as well as facilities for cross-country skiing and jumping. With well-distributed advanced, intermediate, and beginner-level ski slopes, the resort also offers a family skiing paradise, a professional teaching park, a public sports park, and a competitive sports park, ensuring non-interference between skiers in different skill brackets~

As the largest ski resort in Asia, Beida Lake is well ahead of the rest with 64 ski slopes. Accompanied by 11 cable cars and 7 magic carpets, it is the ski resort with the highest number of cable cars in the country, thereby freeing visitors from the waiting line. The resort offers longer trails, steeper slopes, and charming little forests, all providing an enticing experience for dedicated winter enthusiasts to enjoy a vibrant snow season!
Situated in Baishan City, Jilin Province, the core area spans 21 square kilometers, with a total skiing area of 112 hectares. The vertical drop of the core area's slopes is 367 meters, with a daily maximum capacity of 8,000 visitors.
The resort offers diverse holiday activities, from the nation's only ski resort cinema and KTV to hot springs and a water park. With attractions like the Snow Fun Park and the Snow House Hot Pot, the resort provides a plethora of ice and snow experiences, fully embracing the vacation aspect of skiing travel.
