Jilin Provincial Experimental High School was founded in 1948 and is among the first batch of key high schools directly under the Provincial Education Commission. It is among the four major schools, the other three being The High School Attached to Northeast Normal University, The Middle School Attached to Jilin University, and Changchun No. 11 High School.
