No. 3 Kindergarten of Jilin University was founded in 1953. It is located at the intersection of Xinjiang Street and Tongguang Road. It is affiliated to the General Education Office of Jilin University and is now a provincial demonstration kindergarten.

There are 63 faculty members and more than 20 provincial and municipal backbone teachers. In 1999, it took the lead in introducing Montessori education from Italy and pioneered the Montessori education in Jilin Province. It was identified by the Ministry of Education as the research base of Montessori Experimental Research Base and Middle School, Primary School and Kindergarten Modern Science Education during the Ninth Five-Year Plan.
