On the morning of May 27, the press conference for the 2025 Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo Light Conference (hereinafter referred to as the CCIOE) was held at the Northeast Asia International Conference Center in Changchun. At the conference, the organizing committee announced that the 2025 CCIOE will take place from June 10 to 13 at the Northeast Asia International Expo Center. With the core concept of "Honored by Light, Drawn by Light, and Dreaming with Light", this year's expo focuses on cutting-edge technologies and the industrial ecosystem in optoelectronics, aiming to build a platform for deep integration and exchange among technology, markets, capital, and talent.
At the press conference, Wang Shuwu, Chairman of Changchun North Asia Future Technology Co., Ltd., introduced the preparations for this year's expo. The 2024 CCIOE earned industry recognition through an innovative model and high-quality services, laying a solid foundation for this year's event. The 2025 CCIOE will, for the first time, be held in conjunction with the Light Conference and the Academic Conference of the Chinese Optical Society, forming a "three-event linkage" to attract top global scientific research forces and industrial resources to Changchun. As of now, 820 companies from seven countries have confirmed their participation, an increase of 145 companies compared to last year, marking a growth rate of 20%. Among them, 178 are leading industry enterprises, with a significant rise in the proportion of Fortune Global 500 and listed companies. The exhibition zone is planned to cover six major optoelectronic industrial clusters and 15 industrial directions, along with new dynamic displays for low-altitude flight and unmanned driving. The static exhibition zone covers an area of 80,000 square meters, fully showcasing the expo's leadership and foresight as a professional event.
The 2025 CCIOE highlights its international and professional characteristics. The Light Conference, held jointly with the expo for the first time, will attract nearly a thousand academicians and experts from 25 countries across six continents, setting a record in its history. The Academic Conference of the Chinese Optical Society, the top academic conference in China's optical field, will be held concurrently with the expo for the first time, drawing more than 2,000 domestic scholars to participate in over 20 academic seminars. In addition, the Third Meeting of the Changchun Optoelectronic Information Industry Expert Committee and the "Alumni Enterprise Product Exhibition and Exchange Meeting" of Changchun University of Science and Technology will present new highlights. During the expo, seven industry summits and six themed events will be held to promote technology transformation and collaborative innovation in the industrial chain.
To enhance its international influence, the 2025 CCIOE has intensified efforts in global resource matchmaking. The event will feature world-renowned companies such as Carl Zeiss and Ocean Optics, with over 10 domestic exhibition groups bringing leading enterprises from various segments to the spotlight. Meanwhile, local research institutions like the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Northeast Normal University will actively participate in the event to underscore Changchun's scientific research strength as the "Cradle of China's Optoelectronic Industry". According to Wang Shuwu, through the "Early Bird Program" and global promotion, the proportion of international exhibitors has significantly increased, and the number of domestic and foreign experts has grown by 23% compared to last year, solidifying Changchun's role as a hub in the global optoelectronic industry landscape.
"Connecting scientific research with market demand", the 2025 CCIOE has specially arranged an "industry-university-research integration" event, offering more than 50 conferences and technology achievement releases, with a focus on showcasing key technological breakthroughs. By building an open platform, it will promote technology exchange, capital connection, and talent flow, and drive technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
"Changchun will embrace global optoelectronic industry opportunities with a more open attitude," said Wang Shuwu. All preparations for the 2025 CCIOE have been completed. The tolerant, generous, and positive Spring City in Northern China will welcome guests from all directions with greater enthusiasm to join hands for the grand optoelectronic event and draw a blueprint for innovation.
