In 2025, Changchun, a major agricultural city located in the golden corn and rice belts, achieved another bumper grain harvest. The city's total grain output reached 26.58 billion kilograms. Its per capita grain possession, commercial grain volume, and net grain outbound transfer volume all ranked among the highest in large and medium-sized cities nationwide, contributing more "Changchun grain" to the "Chinese rice bowl."

A total of 2 million mu (1 mu ≈ 666.67 square meters) of new high-standard farmland was developed,  raising the cumulative total to 13.91 million mu. This accounts for 62.8% of the city's permanent basic farmland.

Conservation tillage was implemented on 13.57 million mu, covering over 85% of the area suitable for such practices, and representing one-third of the total area under conservation tillage in the province.

The comprehensive mechanization level of agricultural production remained stable at over 96%, surpassing the national average by 20 percentage points. The number of tractors equipped with no-till corn planters ranked first among all prefecture-level cities nationwide.

All six counties (cities) and districts under Changchun's jurisdiction were listed among the nation's top 100 grain-producing counties. Yushu, Nong'an, and Gongzhuling maintained their positions among the top five major grain-producing counties in the country, solidifying their role as critical commercial grain production bases.
