Notice on the Extension of China's Unilateral Visa-Free Policy
To continuously facilitate cross - border travel between China and other countries, China has made the decision to extend its unilateral visa - exemption policy for several countries, including France (refer to the list below), until 24:00 on December 31, 2026. Additionally, from November 10, 2025, to December 31, 2026, China will put in place a visa - exemption policy for Swedish citizens. Ordinary passport holders from the listed countries are allowed to enter China without a visa for purposes such as business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchanges, or transit, on the condition that their stay does not exceed 30 days. Individuals who do not meet the visa - exemption requirements must still obtain a Chinese visa prior to entry.

France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Andorra, South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
