On 16 August, Park Jung-Jin, general director of China Cooperation Division of Incheon Municipal Government as well as another delegate paid a visit to Changchun.

Qi Guohua, general director of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, together with deputy director Duan Huaxu, met the delegation. Through this visit, the delegation aims to further deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation with Changchun, and invite Changchun delegation to attend the Incheon City In-China Trade and Business activities in October. They also mentioned that the Mayor of Incheon hopes to visit Changchun in November.

Gi Guohua expressed his welcome to the delegation and his gratitude for Incheon’s invitation. He said that the Changchun Municipal Government was willing to promote friendly cooperation with Incheon, and would actively organize enterprises in fields of cosmetology and medical treatment to attend the Trade and Business Activities in Incheon. He also extended his welcome to the Mayor of Incheon for visiting Changchun and hoped through the mayor’s visit, the friendly relationship between the two sides could be further strengthened. And at the same time, Director Qi also invited Incheon to attend the China-Northeast Asia Expo which will be held in Jilin Province in this September.

Since the signing of the Letter of Intent for Friendly Exchanges between Changchun and -Incheon in 2010, the two cities have conducted exchanges in fields of culture and sports, laying a foundation for their friendship. As the gateway of South Korea, Incheon is the third largest city with a population of over 3 million and the Seoul International Airport is located at here. With many similarities in industrial structure, there is a large cooperation space for Changchun and Incheon, thus we need to deepen and promote friendly cooperation so as to facilitate the economic and trade collaboration between the two cities and even between Changchun and other South Korean cities.
