The delegation led by Han Zhengyi, Deputy Chief Editor of Korean News Agency of Jilin Province, visited and interviewed Qi Guohua, Director General of Changchun Foreign Affairs Office (CCFAO), Thursday morning on August 17, 2017. During the interview, Director General Qi Guohua extended his thanks to Korean News Agency of Jilin Province and Korean Version of Jilin News Agency of China for their care, support and help for the construction and development of the city and CCFAO’s Foreign Language Website. Director General Qi also spoke highly of the agency’s unremitting effort in keeping the news as well as the principles and policies of the Party publicized in the language of an ethnic minority, which, in turn, won the International Dissemination Award of Chinese News for five times. On the basis of reviewing the past and looking into the future for friendly cooperation between the two sides, Deputy Chief Editor Han Zhengyi interviewed Director General Qi about CCFAO’s responsibility for and role in taking active measures to push forward the goal for the construction of a central city in the region of Northeast Asia put forward at the 9th plenary of the 12th CPC Changchun Municipal Committee during which Director General Qi introduced in depth CCFAO’s mentality, exploration and practice in making use of two kinds of resources, namely, international friendship cities and overseas Chinese, to push forward local foreign (overseas Chinese) affairs, promote friendly relations with neighboring countries, develop nongovernmental exchanges and carry out cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, education, culture and medical care.
