China Russia and North Korea to Jointly Greet the New Year at Triple Frontier, Jilin Hunchun City Involved
CHANGCHUN, December 8 (XinHua News Agency) --- The reporter learned from Jilin Hunchun Municipality that China, Russia and North Korea are going to jointly hold a series of activities to greet the New Year at triple frontier from December 31, 2014 to January 2, 2015.
These blessing activities of “Overlooking the Three Countries, fireworks setting-off and Greeting the New Year” was jointly held by China Hunchun city, Russia Hassan Town and North Korea Tuman-gang City, and the visitors can choose to feel diversified New Year’s ambiance at the three countries’ frontiers based on their own interests.
On January 1, 2015, Hunchun Fangchuan Scenic Region is going to hold a series of activities like artistic performance, picture show of Northeastern countries, fireworks setting-off, border line visiting, flag-rising ceremony, greeting first ray of sunlight. And Russia Hassan Town and North Korea Tuman-gang City are going to hold a series of activities like fireworks setting-off and watching the sunrise at the same time as well.
After the activities is tour and sightseeing. In North Korea, tourists can visit Tuman-gang City Railway Station, Nanshan Square in Rason City and marine products processing plant and seafood store, and then enjoy the performance of the North Korean children. In Russia, tourists can take buses to feel Russian seaside and wet land sceneries along the coastline and visit square at Slavicyanka.
The principals from Hunchun Tourism Bureau introduced that currently Hunchun City is calling for tourists interested in these activities via various media like networks, TV stations, wechat.
With accelerating development of border trade in recent years, Hunchun City, located in the east of Jilin Province and bordering on The North Korea and Russia has become a pivotal tourism city for tourists from Russian Far East greeting the New Year. At annual New Year and Spring Festival, a large number of Russian tourists pours into Hunchun City to spend the festivals.
