Sino-South Korea Economic and Trade Forum 2014 Was Held in Changchun
CHANGCHUN, (Website of Jilin Province Government)On the morning of July 25, Sino-South Korea Economic and Trade Forum 2014 (SSKETF) was held in Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone. This SSKETF, themed with "Sino-South Korea economic and trade cooperation, FTA promotion and bonded zone development", has attracted more than 200 people, including experts and professors, businessmen, politicians and other related figures from both countries, to participate.
This SSKETF, jointly hosted by Northeast Asia Research Institute of Jilin University, CCPIT Jilin Province (Jilin Expo Affairs Bureau), China - Northeast Asia Expo Secretariat, South Korea-China business association, South Korea-China economy and trade promotion institution, South Korea RIS and South Korea-China international chamber of commerce, aimed to promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between industry-education-research and companies in both countries to form a new pattern of interaction between government-business-education in both countries.
The SSKETF believed the exchange between people in China and South Korea in culture, education, science and technology, society and other fields is more active than ever, the "Chinese style" and "South Korean fad" have generated a strong convection to surge up a tide between the general public of the two countries, especially, a good momentum of comprehensive development in pragmatic economic and trade cooperation has emerged, the negotiation on Sino-South Korea free trade zone is speeding up the pace and the cooperation enthusiasm between large enterprises, SMEs and the business circle in both countries runs high unprecedentedly.
CCPIT Jilin Province Chairman Zhao Qianghau said in an interview that the holding of this SSKETF has important significance for the implementation of the province's Changchun-Jilin-Tumen (CJT) strategy and the development of Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Free Trade Zone (XLFTZ). As an important platform of the CJT strategy, XLFTZ, in the future Sino-South Korea economic and trade cooperation, will comprehensively strengthen cooperation with enterprises, scholars, chambers of commerce and associations in South Korea, actively conduct interaction and communication with free trade zones in South Korea and play an unparalleled platform and link role. Supported by the provincial and municipal government, Jilin Province will build "Sino-South Korea Jilin Industrial Park" and make positive efforts for promoting bilateral economic, cultural and social common development and achieving mutual benefits and win-win results.
