To further strengthen practical cooperation between Chinese and Russian sister cities and promote in-depth exchanges in the field of education, from May 12 to 14, Marina Akshonova, Director of the Education Department of Krasnoyarsk City Government, led a five-member delegation on a friendly visit to Changchun. The delegation had friendly exchanges with the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, the Changchun Education Bureau, and several key schools to discuss future cooperation plans.
This visit marked another important exchange following the signing of an inter-school cooperation agreement last year between Changchun Foreign Language School and Krasnoyarsk No. 1 High School. The delegation successively visited the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, the Changchun Education Bureau, Changchun Foreign Language School, Beihu Yingcai School in Changchun New Area, and Lianhuashan Yuying Experimental School. Through discussions, classroom observations, and cultural experience, they gained a deep understanding of Changchun's educational development achievements and explored future cooperation directions.

The delegation first visited the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. Director Zhao Haiying met with them and exchanged views on jointly promoting sister city education cooperation. She stated that since the establishment of the sister city relationship, the two cities have maintained frequent government exchanges, close people-to-people ties, and fruitful cooperation across various fields. She hoped that this visit would be an opportunity to explore and expand deeper and broader cooperation between the two cities in education, and contribute to the lasting friendship between China and Russia. Marina Akshonova emphasized Krasnoyarsk's high regard for its sister city relationship with Changchun and expressed willingness to elevate education cooperation between the two cities to a new level.

During the visit to the Changchun Education Bureau, Deputy Director Lyu Dehui gave a detailed introduction to Changchun's education situation. He stated that Changchun places high importance on education cooperation and exchanges with its international sister cities and will continue to support in-depth interactions between schools in the future to inject new momentum into Sino-Russian education cooperation. Marina Akshonova remarked that Changchun's education development was impressive, and she looked forward to more practical cooperation in language teaching, technological innovation, culture & art, and other fields to enhance the internationalization level of education.

At Changchun Foreign Languages School, the delegation watched brilliant student performances and visited the foreign language cultural classroom and international student dormitories. The school also organized a teaching experience sharing event between Chinese and Russian teachers. The main leaders of both sides discussed topics such as mutual visits between teachers and students, joint curriculum development, and language and cultural promotion, further implementing the content of the inter-school cooperation agreement.

At Beihu Yingcai School in Changchun New Area and Lianhuashan Yuying Experimental School, the delegation toured campus facilities, observed courses including science, painting, music, and dance, and immersed themselves in traditional Chinese culture such as calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, embroidery, and martial arts, during which they actively interacted with teachers and students. The Russian representatives highly praised the modern educational concepts and profound cultural heritage of Changchun's schools and expressed hope for more teacher and student exchange programs in the future to foster mutual understanding and friendship among the youth of the two countries.

This visit not only consolidated the education cooperation achievements between Changchun and Krasnoyarsk but also deepened the friendship between the two cities. In the future, education-related institutions of both cities will strengthen cooperation, promote mutual visits between teachers and students, academic discussion, and resource sharing, explore new models of international talent cultivation, and build broader platforms for exchanges among youth from both cities and countries, to forge a new chapter in Sino-Russian education cooperation.
