- Quang Nam Government Delegation Visits Our City

 

China and Vietnam are socialist neighbors with shared borders and their destinies are closely intertwined. During the third round of mutual visits in December 2023, General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong agreed to jointly build the China-Vietnam Community with a Shared Future, signifying a new stage in China-Vietnam relations. On March 19, 2024, Secretary Jing Junhai met with Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and they reached a series of cooperation agreements.

To further strengthen friendly cooperation between our city and Vietnam, a 12-member government delegation led by Nguyen Tan Van, Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Department of Investment and Planning, visited Changchun recently. The delegation included government officials from the Quang Nam Department of Investment and Planning, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Quang Nam Economic and Industrial Management Zone, entrepreneurs from Truong Hai Group (Vietnam's largest car manufacturer), and leaders from relevant business associations.

On the evening of May 7, Director Xue Chunzhi and Director General Level Officer (Grade II) Duan Huaxu from Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office had discussions with the delegation regarding cooperation in the import of new energy vehicles, Chinese medical herb cultivation, import and export of beef, etc.

On the morning of May 8, accompanied by Duan Huaxu, the delegation visited Nong'an County to inspect Changchun Chengkai Green Circular Livestock Industrial Demonstration Park and the Changchun Farm and Pasture Product Processing Industrial Demonstration Park, subsidiaries of Changchun Chengkai Jiniu Development Co., Ltd., where they exchanged views on the development of large-scale breeding and slaughter processing to seek further cooperation.

Changchun Chengkai Jiniu Development Co., Ltd., established in March 2023, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Changchun City Development & Agricultural Investment Group, with a registered capital of RMB 300 million.

This visit has opened new channels for cooperation between Changchun and Vietnam, laying a solid foundation for further exchanges and cooperation.
