The most beautiful flowers always bloom in midsummer, and this is also a brilliant season for the flowers of our motherland. On June 26, to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship among children in international friendship cities, enrich international perspectives and facilitate high-quality exchanges between friendship cities, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office of Changchun and the friendship city - Chitose, Japan, jointly organized an online exchange activity called "virtual exchange visits" for primary school students in both cities. More than 80 teachers and students from Grade 6 of Changchun No.1 Experimental Primary School and Chitose No. 2 Primary School, as well as Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Representative Office in Japan and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Education Bureau, participated in the event. During the event, the primary school students from both cities greeted each other in Chinese, Japanese, and closed the distance by playing simple games, made short videos to introduce their schools and school life, showcased their unique performances with different characteristics, and expressed their feelings about Chinese and Japanese cultures to the fullest, sharing the time of communication as if it would never end.
