Closing Press Conference Held for the 3rd CCIOE · Light Conference and the Chinese Optical Society Changchun Academic Conference
From June 12 to 14, the 3rd Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo · Light Conference and the Chinese Optical Society Changchun Academic Conference were successfully held at the Northeast Asia International Expo Center in Changchun. Upon the event's conclusion, the Information Office of Changchun Municipal People's Government held a press conference, inviting the heads of relevant departments to brief on how the exhibition was staged.

The three-day event completed all agenda items and drew to a successful close. Leveraging Changchun's profound foundation in the optoelectronic industry, this grand event adhered to the principles of specialization, market orientation, high-end positioning, and internationalization in its organization. It witnessed comprehensive leaps in exhibition standards, professional standing, exchange and cooperation, and brand influence, delivering solid outcomes in all areas of work.
I. Record-high Expo Standards: Professional Exhibition Leads Trends of Industrial Development
This year's CCIOE adopted a coordinated "One Conference Center + Four Halls" layout, covering a total area of 86,000 square meters and showcasing over 4,000 optoelectronic products. The expo attracted 890 exhibitors from home and abroad, including 585 non-local enterprises accounting for 65.73% of the total and 42 foreign-invested enterprises representing a 55% year-on-year rise, a testament to the expo's growing brand influence. Over 10 major Chinese optoelectronic hubs engaged, including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Nanjing, and Suzhou, further boosting the regional industrial agglomeration effect. Domestic and overseas leading enterprises such as Carl Zeiss, Hexagon, Huawei, and Chang Guang Satellite gathered together to present their cutting-edge technologies and core products. The expo saw heavy visitor traffic, a notably higher share of professional attendees, alongside an all-time high satisfaction level among exhibitors and visitors across all the three events, earning wide recognition from the industry for its professional value and industrial influence.
Throughout the expo, a total of 59 conferences and activities were held. The Light Conference featured 10 themed forums, presented awards for the "2025 Top Ten Social Impact Events in China's Optics (Light 10)," and facilitated international cooperation agreements. The Chinese Optical Society Changchun Academic Conference focused on making breakthroughs in bottleneck technologies, with specialized discussions on key fields such as ultra-precision optics and core optoelectronic equipment. The 2026 Atomic Level Manufacturing Innovation and Development Conference centered on the frontier arena of ultra-precision machining, pooling resources via a distinctive integrated model of "conferences, exhibitions and competitions" to accelerate the application and commercialization of advanced technological outcomes.
II. Pragmatic and Efficient Business Matchmaking: Implementation of Contracted Projects Picks up Speed
Guided by the principle of leveraging the expo to attract investment, boost industries, draw talent, and build brands, the event unveiled the development plan for China's Optoelectronics City, which includes a 5.3-square-kilometer core area to comprehensively enhance the city's industrial carrying capacity. More than ten key industrial events were held, including the Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo Scientific and Technological Achievements Release and Changchun Optoelectronic Information Industry Development Matchmaking Conference, the Investment and Financing Roundtable, the Atomic Level Manufacturing Innovation and Development Conference 2026, and the Conference of Changchun University of Science and Technology Alumni on Revitalizing Jilin Province and Fostering Innovation-Led Development in Changchun, building targeted investment-financing bridges and talent pipelines.
This year's expo saw 69 projects signed, with a total contract value of 20.546 billion yuan. During the event, it organized exhibitors to conduct field visits, matchmaking and negotiations across various industrial parks. These efforts facilitated the transformation of multiple cooperation intentions from agreements to tangible projects, achieving the goal of hosting an expo to deliver a batch of projects and boost local industries. The expo platform provided over 6,600 high-quality jobs, attracting all types of talent to Changchun. It also achieved coordination with cities in the Changchun Modern Metropolitan Area, such as Jilin, Siping, and Liaoyuan, and promoted the flow and sharing of regional talent resources.
III. Deepening International Exchanges: Opening-up Achieves a Remarkable Leap Forward
The internationalization of this year's expo picked up speed, and its global partnership network kept expanding. The expo invited optoelectronic enterprises and industry guests from Belt and Road partner countries including Singapore and Brazil, as well as from multiple European nations. Dozens of academicians and experts from 23 countries convened in Changchun for discussions and exchanges, setting a new record for overseas high-end talent participation. Today, the expo has shifted from inviting overseas buyers to attracting overseas institutions and foreign-invested enterprises that proactively engage and seek long-term collaboration. The global appeal and brand reputation of the CCIOE have been steadily growing. Changchun is forging ahead to become a major global hub for optoelectronic industry exchange and cooperation. Meanwhile, the local optoelectronic industry is now fully and deeply integrated into the global innovation and collaboration network.
IV. Upgraded Service Support: The Exhibition Experience Wins Unanimous Praise
The expo coordinated smart services, exhibition area planning, event organization, and logistics support to enhance the overall quality of the exhibition. Smart services are efficient and convenient: exhibitors and visitors can obtain one-stop access to venue guide, conference schedule, exhibitor list, and traffic guide and other services simply by scanning a QR code with their mobile phones, ensuring efficient and smooth information exchange. The exhibition areas are well-organized, with booths systematically planned around the six major optoelectronic industrial clusters and 15 sub-fields, facilitating matchmaking, negotiations and business cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises along the industrial chain. Various sideline events, rich in content and distinctive in character, added depth to the expo. Thorough logistics support ensured orderly traffic around the venue and a smooth flow of visitors, creating a safe and pleasant viewing environment for all guests.
Gathering light into a torch, we pursue our dreams and forge ahead. The successful conclusion of this year's expo serves as both a summary of phased achievements and a new starting point for deeper cooperation and industrial upgrading. Going forward, we will continue to optimize the "One Expo, Two Conferences" mode, diversify activities, improve service quality and deepen international cooperation. We will expand and strengthen the optoelectronic information industry, accelerate the development of "China's Optoelectronics City," and continuously foster new quality productive forces. With the high-quality development of the optoelectronic industry as a key lever, we will shoulder our responsibilities and take concrete actions, thereby contributing Changchun's strength to the full revitalization of northeast China in the new era.
